Facilities
Match & Social Facilities
Clacton Indoor Bowls Club can offer very good facilities for all bowlers, whether beginners or experienced players. Our 6 well kept rinks are backed up by our off-rink facilities such as the bar serving alcoholic or soft drinks daily. Next to this you can find a seating area to watch matches whilst enjoying either drinks or food served from our kitchen area well into the afternoon most days. Many members enjoy the social aspect of the club and sometimes come in for breakfast and to see friends even if there’s no intention to bowl.
Access
The car park adjacent to the club, although council owned, is free and available to members or visitors alike. It is only busy at peak times and spaces are usually available with no concerns. Clacton Bowls caters for men and women and have toilet areas and locker rooms for the purpose. Access to the club for disabled members is easy via a purpose bought mobile ramp at the front of the building. We also benefit from owning a purpose built wide wheeled chair which can be used for bowling without damaging the rinks which could happen with standard outdoor wheelchairs. Bowls is a sport for all, and Clacton are proud to have disabled members enjoying the club and the sport.
Coaching
We have coaching available either for beginners, juniors or other players requiring tips and training. If you fancy a go at bowls £10 will get you 3 coaching sessions and if you elect to join the club this comes off of your joining fee – most people do enjoy it! Clacton is a friendly club and welcome new members of all ages and abilities.
